Iggy Argy, (Ignacio Arguijo,) is a lowbrow and pop-surreal artist from San Antonio, Texas. The youngest and only son of three kids.
Most of Iggy's work comes from his vivid imagination and odd sense of humor. He also tries to bridge a connection of clean line drawing with the kinetic dynamism of his herky-jerky cartoon method of mark-making. Creating an absurd but bold affect.
His inspirations come from a love of pro-wrestling, Japanese artists and mangakas such as Hirohiko Araki, Shintaro Kago, and Junji Ito as well as comic artists like Jack Kirby and Tradd Moore. He also is hugely influenced by sci-fi and horror films and books, and the lowbrow influences of Ed Roth. But his biggest joy is in the human anatomy, probably because he's a sort of pervert.
